When a given color and size combination is out of stock but more inventory is on the way, we provide our customers the option to “pre-order” the item. This basically reserves the item for you.

As soon as it becomes available we will ship your pre-ordered item at no extra shipping cost to you. (Don’t worry, all in stock items on your order will ship right away.)

We try our best to provide an accurate estimate for availability of backordered items at the time you place your order. (If a date was not provided then we expect to receive the item within 30 days.) In most cases you can expect delivery 7-10 business days after the “Available” date listed. Occasionally, however, that date changes due to unforeseen manufacturing or shipping delays.

The labels that appear inside our products can vary in terminology.  This is most commonly due to our vendors using their own ‘in-house’ labeling that can appear to signify different sizing.  Rest assured that all of our products are true big and tall sizing so whether the size label reads ‘2X’ or ‘2XB’ the measurements are that of a 2X Big. Subsequently, this remains true for all sizes 2XB-5XB. There are no substantial differences outside of acknowledged tolerances that occur during manufacturing.  Under Armour is a notable exception because they merely extend their sizes as opposed to making them in true big and tall dimensions.  We recommend sizing up in this brand for a fit more in-line with our other brands.

Unfortunately Westport Big & Tall is unable to offer tailoring on any of our products.  There are a number of variables that can come into play when tailoring garments.  Something as basic as having pants finished can be subject to changes due to the style, fit or brand.  For example, finishing pants to a 30” inseam can have different results depending on garment’s rise, outseam, etc.  Due to uncertainties such as these it’s always a best practice to have a local tailor perform all alterations to your purchases.  Additionally, we are unable to accept returns of altered products lending even greater reason to try them on prior to having them tailored.

Checks, money orders, cashier's checks, and cash are not accepted. Please include a daytime phone number on all faxed or mailed orders, so that we may reach you with any questions. Westport Big & Tall follows all applicable taxing regulations for the states where we do business. Any applicable taxes are charged accordingly to the shipping address(es) of your order and is applied to merchandise and delivery.

You can redeem Westport Big & Tall gift certificates easily online. Simply continue the checkout process as normal and on the Payment Information page, there will be a section there for you to enter in your gift certificate number and amount.

In general, promo codes that apply the same type of promotion cannot be combined. For example, two separate order discounts may not be applied to a single order.   There are cases where different promotion types may be combined. For example, a free shipping promotion could be applied along with an order discount in some cases. Whether or not a promo code can be combined with another promo code is specific to each promotion. 

Occasionally we may run promotions that do not require promo codes, and in that case, a valid promo code can be combined with an automatically-applied promotion.

Our policies regarding charging customer credit cards are governed by PCI compliance requirements.  These are industry-wide standards that exist to safeguard the personal information of our customers.  As a result, credit card information is not stored or ‘held’ in order to be charged at a later time when the item(s) is/are in-stock and ready to ship.  Processing the transaction for an item that is on a pre-order status ensures that you will receive that item upon its arrival at our distribution center.  However, pre-ordering or pre-paying for an order does not obligate you should you wish to cancel your order prior to its fulfillment.  Cancellation of an order would result in that payment being refunded.

If you need faster delivery, choose one of our express services. Express orders placed by 1:00p.m. EST will be shipped the same day. Please be aware Express delivery is business days (Monday - Friday, excluding holidays). 2-Day and Overnight orders will not arrive on Saturday, Sunday, or holidays. Express Delivery is not an option for packages shipped to Hawaii, Alaska, or Puerto Rico.

Products that are pre-orders or that indicate they ship separately will not ship same-day.

Orders within the U.S. are shipped within one business day from when the order is placed, unless the item is a pre-order or indicates that it ships separately. Please allow additional processing time during the holidays.

General delivery within the United States is basic UPS ground service and can be expected to take 2-6 business days, depending on the state it is going to. Packages ship from Georgia, unless otherwise stated. Standard ground service applies to the contiguous 48 states. Our delivery charges are listed on our Shipping & Transit page.

Orders shipped outside the United States are shipped via DHL Worldwide Express or DHL Standard. DHL Worldwide Express is expected to take between 2 and 6 days, depending on the country. DHL Standard Shipping is expected to take between 12 and 20 days. Our delivery charges are listed on our Shipping & Transit page.

Returns

You can begin the return process of any item or items by visiting the “Returns & Refund Policies” page on our website.  There you will find all the information necessary to perform returns and request exchanges. Westport Big & Tall typically runs two sales a year:  one following the spring season and one after the fall season.  This is an opportunity to offer our customers the previous season’s goods at a discounted price as we prepare to welcome the incoming season’s new fashion items.  The sale goes through a tiered system of discounts.  As inventory in our sizes decrease, generally the discount offered increases as a direct result of the lack of size variety available.  By the time items are listed as ‘Final Sale’ it is commonly 60% off the retail price and therefore has reached our threshold for being unable to accept returns on them.  If you are unsure of what size you may wear in a particular item or are unfamiliar with a certain brand that has an item listed as ‘Final Sale’ we would prefer that you not order it as it cannot be returned if there are fit issues.

When printing a return label, you can check the notification boxes to have an email sent to you with delivery confirmation. You can also enter your tracking number on the UPS Website.


Allow 14 days for us to receive and process returns and credits.

If you are returning a gift without the original packing slip, please include the name and address of the person who purchased the merchandise so we may be able to locate the original order. Purchaser will not be notified of return unless you request they receive the refund. Gift recipients will receive a non-refundable gift certificate.
